The Benefits of Red Raspberry Leaf Tea

Red raspberry leaf tea is a pretty common topic amongst pregnant women. Let’s dive a little bit deeper into this amazing herb!

The dried leaves of raspberry plants are what makes raspberry leaf tea. Red Raspberry leaves contain many beneficial nutrients and compounds, including:

🍃Magnesium

🍃Calcium

🍃Zɪnc

🍃Gallotannins

🍃Kaempferol

🍃Qu3rcetin

🍃Caffeic acid

🍃Chlorogenic acid

🍃Ferulic acid

It has dynamic uses and those that have been reported include:

⇴Stimulating labor

⇴Shortening labor

⇴Reducing labor complications

⇴Reducing menstrual pain

⇴Supporting dysmenorrhea

⇴Supporting breast milk production

Many women drink red raspberry leaf in the week leading up to delivery because it helps tone the uterus. That said, there are varying schools of thought regarding the safety of drinking this tea earlier in pregnancy. So always discuss with your doctor, midwife, etc. if you’re interested in incorporating this into your routine.
