The Benefits of Royal Jelly
Today we’re going to talk about Royal Jelly, and how it can support overall health and fertility!
Royal jelly is a product made by worker bees. It’s the queen bee’s primary food source and it’s also fed to honeybee larvae in their first few days of life.
It’s most famous for its longevity-boosting properties. This makes sense when you know that a worker bee lives ~45 days and a queen bee lives ~1-2 years. Aristotle, who is said to have first discovered royal jelly’s functions in the colony, incorporated this food into the daily diet of his school. It’s been said that the ancient Greeks believed the immortality-providing nectar of the gods of Olympus, ambrosia, contained royal jelly.
