60% of women are put on the pill for symptoms other than preventing pregnancy.
I went on the birth control pill to help “fix” the cystic acne I developed after being on the vegan diet. Little did I know it was just covering up my symptoms and that my acne would come back 10X worse when I decided to stop taking it after 8 years.

60% of women are put on the pill for symptoms OTHER than preventing pregnancy, like:
▪️
🩹Menstrual pain
🩹Acne
🩹PCOS
🩹Endometriosis
🩹Irregular Periods/Period Problems
🩹Headache/Migraine Relief
🩹Abnormal Hair Growth (Hirsutism)/Loss
🩹PMS
🩹PMDD
🩹Mood Swings
🩹Mood Disorders like Depression + Anxiety
🩹Unspecified Hormonal Symptoms
▪️
Guess what? THE PILL WILL NOT FIX ANY OF THESE THINGS. Instead, the pill SUPPRESSES these symptoms, making it seem like you’ve been cured.
▪️
Symptoms are your body trying to get your attention that something is off. Suppressing a symptom is like disciplining your child by yelling at them or using physical force. When we do this to our body, it almost ALWAYS backfires and lashes out.
▪️
The truth is your symptoms are progressing, all while exposing you to the pill's dangerous side effects and increasing your risk for everything from heart attack and thyroid issues to certain cancers and autoimmune disease...and even infertility.
▪️
More often than not, when you come off the pill you have more issues than when you started. The fact that OVER HALF of women are taking the pill for SYMPTOMS is a clear sign that there are bigger issues at play.
▪️
I don’t believe in symptom-chasing. A big part of my mission is to help women get to the root cause of their true issues so they don’t have to put themselves in harm’s way. I also help women prepare their bodies to minimize symptoms when they’re ready to come off the pill. Your body wants to heal. It can take some time and patience, but it’s totally worth it.

What about you? What was your experience with the pill?
